Iowa Tops in Wrestling Attendance

The 2014-2015 University of Iowa Wrestling team has topped the nation in attendance for the ninth straight season. The Hawkeyes averaged over 8,300 fans at Carver-Hawkeye Arena duals this season. Iowa has been tops in attendance in each of coach Tom Brands’ nine seasons.

Iowa’s legendary wrestling program has collected 23 team titles, second only to Oklahoma State’s 34.  All of Iowa’s titles have come since 1975. Sports Illustrated named them one of the top programs of the 20th century. Their last championship came in 2010 -- 5 years is long enough!  Good luck to the Hawks as they go for team title #24 this week in St. Louis at the 2015 NCAA Championships.
