The Iowa Hawkeyes have had to be feeling pretty good about themselves during this week away from game action.  They last played on January 5th when they knocked off Nebraska, moving their Big Ten record to 3-0 and currently placing them at #16 in the AP Top 25 Poll.  But things are about to get real busy.  The Hawks have six games left on the January calendar... first things first, it's Iowa at Michigan State Thursday with tip-off just after 6pm.

When the Hawks knocked off Michigan State in Iowa City on December 29th, the Spartans were without star player Denzel Valentine.  The Hawks never trailed in that game, coasting to an 83-70 victory over the #1 ranked team in the land.  Well, Valentine is back, the Spartans are still very highly ranked and this one is in East Lansing... against head coach Tom Izzo and a team badly wanting revenge.
