The calendar hasn't turned to 2017 yet, but the Iowa State Fair has already announced three headliners for next year's fair.

On the fair's opening night, August 10, for King and Country, an Australian Christian pop duo featuring brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, will perform.

The following night, Canadian rock band Nickelback hits the Iowa State Fair stage for the first time since 2004.

Thursday, August 17 the Iowa State Fair stage turns to country music as legendary band Alabama performs. The boys from Fort Payne, Alabama graced the stage in Des Moines in 2015, but will undoubtedly draw a big crowd again. Ticket information on the Alabama show is available here.

Tickets for all three shows go on sale Friday, December 16 at 10 a.m. online or by phone at 800-514-3849. December 16 is the earliest on sale date in the history of the Iowa State Fair.
