Iowa Senator and Congressman Involved in Amtrak Accident

Republican Congressmen & Senators were on their way to a retreat in West Virginia this morning when the Amtrak train they were riding on hit a garbage truck. Senator Joni Ernst and Congressman David Young were both on the train.

The truck had three people on board. WHO reports one of those three was killed in the crash, but thus far there are no reports of any specific injuries to Congressional members.

The Republican legislative retreat is in White Sulphur Springs, West Viriginia for the raminder of the work week.
