Another place to get your Girl Scout cookies from?

There's actually a lot more to this story than cookies.

The Micah House, a homeless shelter in Council Bluffs, recently received a $1,000 grant from the Pottawattamie Youth Council to start its own girl scout troop, and is working on doing just that.

CBS2 says shelter directors were inspired to start the program after seeing a story about a New York homeless shelter doing the same thing.

Just like any other girl scout troop, the scouts at Micah House will wear sashes and have the opportunity to earn badges. They may eventually begin to sell girl scout cookies and are currently looking for volunteer troop leaders.

It will also almost certainly provide a sense of hope, opportunity and confidence to its troop members.

Good luck and congratulations to this homeless shelter on doing some good for its residents and community.
