Iowa's football class of 2017 got a huge boost on Monday night when news that four-star Texas running back Eno Benjamin had committed to Iowa. The Hawks don't typically get a lot of four-star guys, but one at a key offensive skill position is an even rarer feet. Benjamin rushed for over 2600 yards and 41 touchdowns last year for Wylie East High School in Texas. He took to social media Monday night and made it official.

To say that Benjamin was a sought after player would be an understatement. He chose Iowa over national powerhouses like Michigan, Oklahoma State, Baylor, and Utah.

Iowa now has nine commitments for the 2017 class with two four-star recruits and seven three star players. Rivals currently ranks Iowa's class 3rd in the Big Ten and 12th nationally.
