The Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers' Market started off with huge crowds for its first session last weekend, but for folks who would rather stay indoors, there is big news.

KCRG reports that the Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department will be offering a new, indoor craft and Farmers' Market this summer, at the Northwest Recreation Center.

The center is located at 1340 11th St. NW in Cedar Rapids, and this market will be held on the following dates, from 8-10 a.m.:

  • June 24
  • July 29
  • August 26
  • September 30

The dates will be opposite the downtown Farmers' Market, so you won't have to miss a thing. It reportedly will offer much of what the outdoor downtown market offers, and each will have themes which will include "Welcome Summer & Senior Citizen Connection", "Christmas in July", "A Slice of Summer", and "Flea Market".
