The Indian Chieftain Has A Massive Buzz In The Motorcycle World – It Is Warranted

We had a special Indian unveiling over the summer at Bike Night at McGrath Powersports. I wanted to ride one and see if the word on the street was on target. The performance matches the buzz.

I'm cruising the Hawkeye State on a 2014 Indian Chieftain. A Thunderstroke 111 V-twin paired with a 6-speed transmission makes for a powerful, smooth ride. This model has the full stage 1 kit and aftermarket back rest.

Indian has a huge history... its the first American Motorcycle dating back to 1901. Like Leno said, this is a true comeback. They got it right this time.

Other models include The Indian Classic, Vintage, Roadmaster, and Joe at Powersports says the Scout will soon arrive in Cedar Rapids. Even the die-hard Harley guys are impressed by this re-launch.

Made in Spirit Lake, we should all be proud of what is happening right now on the Indian assembly line in Northwest Iowa. They are hiring hundreds of additional workers to keep up with demand. Ride ON...and let those fringe grips fly!
