We've lost a great friend and colleague. With Scott Steele's passing comes many memories of the past decade. Scott arrived in September 2004 after spending time on the air in Waterloo and Davenport. He and his brother Loo Waters had a great run on the KRNA Morning Show. It didn't last as long as we would've liked, but they rebooted, moved down the hall and continued excellent broadcasts at our sister stations. Beyond all the radio stuff, he was just a great guy.

I enjoyed our music chats. We covered a lot of ground over the years. No one could beat him in the "House of Hair Weekly Playlist Challenge." I'll proudly spin some Tremonti & Candlebox in his memory later today.

You'll often see #cancersucks on Twitter. I can't think of a more accurate hash tag. Scott put up a very long and very courageous fight. May his family find peace.

Scott and Loo used to "walk out as friends" after every shift. We still use that phrase around here. It was a pleasure to walk with Scooter Steelio.
