Can I ask you a question? Why isn't Motley Crue in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame?

Why isn't Ozzy? Def Leppard? Judas Priest?

Meanwhile, Madonna is already a member. Madonna?

WHY?!?

Your guess is as good as mine, but I think it's because the HOF is really a bunch of snobs. It's who you know, not who you are. Just ask Bad Company, or the Doobie Brothers. Or Iron Maiden. Or Bon Jovi...you get the idea.

I've been to the museum in Cleveland and I was underwhelmed. To me it's not much more than a giant gift shop that happens to have Ringo's drum set and a few original guitars behind glass. Not much more exciting thank a trip to a well-stocked House of Blues or Hard Rock Cafe. Except you have to pay get in. At least at the Hard Rock you get a burger for the $12!

This 2017 Rock N Roll Hall of Fame nominees were announced today and while I appreciate that Journey, Yes and the Cars are among the 2017 potential inductees, I still scratch my head to wonder why Janet Jackson and Chaka Khan are also on the ballot. Nothing against them personally, but THAT's NOT ROCK N ROLL.

My only consolation is that I'm not the only one who feels this way.

And for that reason I snub my nose at the entire process.

It reminds me of the old Groucho Marx line: "I wouldn't belong to a club that would accept someone like me as a member!"

That's my rant. Thanks for letting me vent.
