According to CBS2/FOX28, around 10:40 p.m. on Friday, Monticello Police attempted to pull over a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Missouri. Needless to say, the vehicle did not comply with the authorities and took off rural Jones County in farm fields and ditches.

I think it's funny that people think they can actually out run a police car. It never works. The police have radios, guns and faster cars. Just pull over, it's much easier.

CBS2/FOX28 reported that during the chase the vehicle wound up hitting multiple police vehicles including that of the Jones County Sheriff and a Cascade police officer. These are small communities here in Iowa, they don't see this kind of stuff everyday. The police in these towns operate much like the one in the beautiful community of Mayberry.

The pursuit ended at the intersection of North Maple and 3rd St...I'm not 100% if this is a gravel road or asphalt.

Kevin Glassmeyer, Dechone Jackson and Megan Dains were arrested and police discovered several guns in the vehicle, as reported by CBS2....These three punks are in some serious trouble!

I'm told things are back to normal today in Jones County. Aunt Bee will be dropping off a hot apple pie to the station later this afternoon.
