As we previously learned, Third Man Records’ 27th Vault package will boast live recordings of founder Jack White’s ‘90s-era, pre-White Stripes bands. While most of us weren’t lucky enough to be present at Detroit’s Gold Dollar to witness the start of something great, we can now hear what that sounded like.

Third Man previously shared an excerpt of the formerly unreleased “Itchy,” one of the tracks that will appear on the forthcoming Live at the Gold Dollar, and now you can hear it in full (via Rolling Stone):

White and his then-band Two Star Tabernacle -- comprised of Dan John Miller, Tracee Mae Miller and Damian Lang -- performed the song at the Detroit venue on Jan. 16, 1998. You can hear hints of what’s to come in White and company’s disheveled blues-rock stomp and the frontman’s ramshackle cry: “Somebody better break my fingers.”

Live at the Gold Dollar will boast two more songs from Two Star Tabernacle’s January 1998 set, including early versions of the White Stripes’ “Hotel Yorba” and “Now Mary,” plus songs that Dan and Tracee Miller would later update for their own band, Blanche. The three-LP release also features live recordings from White’s other band, the Bricks, dating back to September 1999 and a performance from his brief tenure as the guitarist for the Go in November 1998.

There’s still time to sign up for the Third Man Vault subscription and receive Live at the Gold Dollar; the deadline is Jan. 31.
