Hayden Fry Statue Unveiled at Fryfest [PHOTO]

The College Football Hall of Fame member who coached the Iowa Hawkeyes for 20 seasons is now standing watch, in bronze, along Hayden Fry Way in Coralville.

The bronze statue of Hayden Fry, who coached the Iowa Hawkeyes from 1979-1998, will be placed in front of the Iowa City/Coralville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau at 900 First Ave. in Coralville. I'm guessing thousands of Hawkeye fans will pose next to it each year, many of them in their own Commander hat and aviator sunglasses.
