On Saturday, the Iowa Hawkeye football team lost more than just the Heartland Trophy to Wisconsin. They also lost a recruit.

Eno Benjamin, a 2017 four-star running back from Texas announced he was decommitting from Iowa.

“Things didn’t work out,” Benjamin said in a message to the web site "Hawkeye Nation." The Iowa coaches weren't happy he visited Missouri and Arizona State this fall after verbally committing to Iowa.

Benjamin went on to say “I wish Iowa nothing but the best as you guys deserve. I’ll never forget my time as a Hawk and you fans are the best. With that said, I have officially decided to decommit from Iowa and fully open up my recruiting process. Thank you to those that understand.”
