I had a great weekend. The weather was perfect, I didn't have to work (much), and the HAWKEYES BEAT PURDUE 49-28!

It always makes the weekend so much better when our beloved Hawks win on Saturday. It also makes the seven day wait for the next game much easier.

According to timesrepublican.com, Iowa scored touchdowns on five of its six opening-half possessions and defeated Purdue 49-35 on Saturday, wining their school-record ninth consecutive road game.

I missed the first quarter, but when I looked at my phone and saw it was 21-0, I was shocked! I'm just glad the team got out of their scoring slump. It was great to see them put up 49 points on Saturday.

A part of me feels bad for Purdue. This was their homecoming game. The last four seasons the Boilermakers are 0-4 in homecoming games and have been outscored 176-83 in those four defeats-- Ouch.

The Hawks will take on Wisconsin this Saturday at Kinnick Stadium. I'm a huge Hawk fan, my producer Mike Ferris is a Badger fan. Let's gamble!

Help us figure out a fun wager we can make on the game. Maybe the loser shaves his head? How about the winner gets the rest of the week off? Let us know what you think. We can discuss your answers on The KRNA Morning Show this week!

GO HAWKS!
