Well, the Hawkeyes have state bragging rights for the next year, but their 31-17 victory over Iowa State in Ames last weekend won't mean a whole lot if they can't keep the momentum going this Saturday under the lights at Kinnick.  For the Cyclones, they have one more tune-up before a bye week and then the beginning of Big 12 play.  The UNI Panthers are packing their suitcases for California.

Iowa State will travel to Ohio to take on the Toledo Rockets (1-0).  Kickoff is set for 7p.m.  The Cyclones will then get a week off to prepare for their conference opener against Kansas in Ames on October 3rd.

The UNI Panthers (1-1) are coming off an exciting 38-35 win over Eastern Washington at the UNI-Dome last weekend.  This Saturday, they'll head out west to take on Cal Poly.  This will be their first of 3 straight road contests before returning to Cedar Falls on October 17th.

Iowa (2-0) should have a competitive game on their hands against the Pitt Panthers (2-0) under the lights at Kinnick Saturday night.  Hawk fans seem to have growing confidence about the 2015 squad after an impressive second half performance against Iowa State.  I think this game will tell us a lot.  If they can find a way against Pitt, they should easily steamroll North Texas on September 26th to move to 4-0 entering October and conference play.  With a Big Ten schedule that doesn't look all that formidable, I think we're looking at a 9-win team this year.
