Iowa crashed and burned in Chicago at the Big Ten tournament on Thursday, losing to Penn State, 67-58.

It was ugly. It was deflating. And it definitely hurt Iowa's seeding for the upcoming NCAA tournament.

So, the good news?

Iowa is still solidly in the tournament field (something we couldn't say last year), and could be headed just a short ride across I-80 to Omaha. Here's where the bracketologists have Iowa at the moment:

Joe Lunardi, ESPN: 7 seed, Omaha vs. Dayton

Jerry Palm, CBS: 7 seed, Omaha vs. Georgia

Stewart Mandel, Fox Sports: 7 seed, Omaha vs. Georgia

It's all 7's in Omaha for the Hawks right now. Things could still change, depending on how the other tournament action shakes out, but a seven seed in Omaha wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for the Hawks. We'll know for sure come Sunday.
