‘Gloves of Love’ to Help Cedar Rapids Area Students Stay Warm!

KRNA and the Cedar Rapids Community School District would like to thank everyone who donated to this year's "Gloves of Love" campaign.

One year ago, we teamed with Theisen's Home, Farm, Auto to launch “Gloves of Love”, collecting specifically gloves and mittens that we would bring to the Cedar Rapids School District. You all came through with a generous donation, including more than just gloves, but hats and scarves too. We decided to do the promotion again this year and you really blew us away!

On Friday, January 9, we delivered all the gloves and mittens that were gathered at both Cedar Rapids Theisen's stores during December. It was quite the haul! They’ll be handed out to needy children in the Cedar Rapids school district to help keep them warm during this cold and bitter winter. Thank you again for helping to keep our children warm, and by showing just how much you care by donating to the "Gloves Of Love" campaign! A station representative presented them to Cedar Rapids School Superintendent Dr. Dave Benson (pictured below).
