Getting to Know Elvis Costello

I'm 27 years old, and to be honest my first exposure to Elvis Costello was unintentional and goofy;  Austin Powers: The Spy who Shagged me. I used to watch the Austin Power's movies endlessly and one of the most memorable moments out of this goofiness was Elvis Costello playing himself pulling a piano out to serenade Austin Powers and Felicity Shagwell.

Little did I know he had inspired some of my favorite musicians growing up. An inspiration to Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Weezer, and Prince. Elvis Costello's career shows no sign of stopping. He was alternative rock before the term existed, helping to create the new wave movement of the 70s and 80s. His strength in story telling and song writing stands the test of time to be relevant and a force to be reckoned with today.
