Gabe Olaseni Gets His Shot

Former Iowa player Aaron White was drafted last week by the Washington Wizards. Now, one of his former teammates will get a shot to make an NBA roster.

Former Hawkeye Gabe Olaseni was picked up by the Miami Heat to play on their summer league team.

Olaseni came to Iowa City as a raw talent -- a lot of athleticism, but not much in the way of polished skills. He left Iowa as the Big Ten's sixth man of the year. I'd say that's pretty good development.

If it comes to hard work and determination, I like Olaseni's chances of making the roster. All the best, Gabe!
