Former Iowa State running back Troy Davis was honored before the Cyclone's game against Baylor on Saturday. Hours later, Davis was facing charges in Ames.

Davis was arrested on a charge of suspicion of public intoxication. He refused to take a field sobriety test when officers approached him at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Davis was being held in the Story County Jail.

Davis was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in 1996 and is scheduled to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame later this year.
