Foo Fighters Confirm a Second Installment of ‘Sonic Highways’

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl said back in November 2014 that after creating Sonic Highways (both the album they recorded in eight musical cities across the U.S. and the HBO series documenting the process), he was "never f---ing doing it again." This morning (June 8), however, Grohl confirmed that Sonic Highways will have a sequel, and it will likely be set in the U.K.

Grohl hinted at this in the aforementioned 2014 interview, saying, "England's a great example of another country where each city has regional relevance. I think that every country could have its own Sonic Highways series. England could definitely have it." This morning, he added that the new project "might or might not be international... It might only be in England," and he went on to say, "The great thing about the idea, the concept of the project, is that it can be anywhere because every city has some sort of musical history. Of all places in the world, England and the U.K. just seems like it would be shooting fish in a barrel. There’s just so f---ing much here."
