Flight From Hawaii to California Runs Low on Fuel, Has to Turn Around [Video]

Something you never want to hear while on a plane is the phrase "low fuel". But, that's exactly what happened to passengers on a United Airlines flight from Hawaii to California the other day.

Two hours into the direct flight, the pilots realized that, due to a condition known as "overburn," they would not have enough fuel to make it to San Francisco.

While this was probably super scary and kind of inconvenient for most of the people on the flight, there are way worse places to be stranded for an extra night than Hawaii.
