Five things to get you ready for this week's Foreigner concert:

  • Where: US Cell Center, downtown Cedar Rapids
  • When: Thursday March 29, 8:00 p.m. (doors open 7:00 p.m.)

5. Tickets are still available. US Cell Center Box Office and Ticketmaster.com. You can even purchase their special VIP meet n greet packages to bring you up close and into the action backstage.

4. Check out Foreigner's March 22 Set List from their recent Toronto concert. The band opens with Double Vision, and includes a long list of smash hits like Urgent, Juke Box Hero and Dirty White Boy. It's a power gold playlist of their hits and a few rare gems added as well.

3. The Foreigner Craft Beer Event Wednesday March 28 at Parlor City Pub, 1125 3rd St SE 6:00 p.m. Free admission! Grab a bite and sample flights of craft brews with Foreigner band members Michael Bluestein and Bruce Watson. Plus a chance to sing along and win tickets and backstage passes! It will be a very cool hang with handshakes, photos and autographs. Sponsored by Carpenters Union Local 308.

2. Congrats to the Solon High School Choir. They'll perform onstage with the band and orchestra on Foreigner's mega-hit, "I Want To Know What Love Is". The school's students, family and friends knocked the voting out of the park, and beat out five other area choirs for the honors.

1. The Dave Eggar Orchestra is performing with the band. This pairing is only happening on a few selected Foreigner dates during this tour and we're thrilled to see how they weave and blend their sounds and styles into the fabric of classic rock anthems.

Bonus! The Five Songs I Wish Foreigner Would Play in concert  -and they have played them live before -

1. Night Life  2. Starrider   3. Headknocker   4. Women   5. Rev On The Red Line.

The real Foreigner fans know and love these deep cuts and we'd be over the moon happy if they added a couple to the set list. (or is that Girl on the Moon happy?)
