The collaboration continues with an exploration of The Wild, Wild West with Aaron Copland’s popular ballets, Rodeo and Billy the Kid. Filled with easily recognizable music, Rodeo is the story of a young woman who hopes to attract the attention of a certain cowboy. Based on the adventures and legend of the real-life desperado, Billy the Kid includes cowboy tunes and American folk music.
Shows are Saturday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 26 at 2:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids.
