7G Distributing is going pink for the month of October!

Partnering with the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, they invite you to the "Drink for Pink Brew Appetit" beer and food pairing dinner.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, supporting their Breast Cancer and Breast Care clinics.

7G has worked with the Chef from Share Wine Lounge & Small Plate Bistro in Iowa City to create a one of a kind, four course meal customized by William Hawkins, executive chef at the Sheraton Iowa City, perfectly paired with a variety of beers.  Beer ingredients will be on each table, so you can touch, feel, and even taste each ingredient that goes in to your favorite beers.  So not only will you enjoy great food and beer while supporting the cause, there'll also be some guest speakers including:

  • Dr. Alex Thomas, MD at The University of Iowa Breast Care and Breast Cancer Clinic will speak prior to the event about the importance of donations for the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center and the breakthroughs the center has made in breast cancer research.
  • George Reisch, fifth generation Anheuser Busch brew master, will talk about the brewing process and how specific ingredients create distinctive beers. He has hosted hundreds of brewmaster dinners, taught hundreds of brewing schools, and has appeared on several TV and radio programs. He is the past president of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas and a tasting judge at both the World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival.He is also on the Board of Advisors for the North American Brewers Association. For four consecutive years, Mr. Reisch was named "Large Company Brewmaster of the Year" at Denver's Great American Beer Festival (2000-2003).
