The holiday season is right around the corner but in the Quad Cities, it's practically here.

For another year, businesses in downtown Davenport, Bettendorf, and Rock Island will join together to Deck The Downtowns.

The Downtown Davenport Partnership, Downtown Bettendorf Organization, and Rock Island Downtown Alliance are joining together to offer a lot of activities as part of it, which kicks off on November 18th.

Events

Deck The Downtowns will feature the Holiday Display Challenge (you vote on which business has your favorite artwork in the window), the Hunt For The Holiday Pickle (find 10 pickles in local stores for your chance to win a grand prize), the Festival of Trees, Small Business Saturday, Downtown Gift Inspo, and Keep It QC.

Check out some of the art designs from last year:

There are over 90 businesses competing in Deck The Downtowns this year. If you vote for your favorite designs, you'll be automatically entered to win "downtown gift cards & goodies", according to DDP. You'll have through January 1st to cast your vote.

Also happening on November 18th in downtown Davenport is the Festival of Trees Holiday Parade and kick-off. There will also be the huge Christmas tree lighting at K-Square in downtown Davenport at 6:00 p.m.

For Small Business Saturday, there will be a blood drive from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre, which is at 330 W. 3rd St. Everyone who gives blood will get a gift card to a downtown business.

You can get more details about Deck The Downtown events at Downtown Davenport Partnership's website.
