Now before your inner "Chong" get too excited, let me clarify that headline.

This Saturday October 22nd is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

The Drug Drop Off event is being held in Cedar Rapids from 10: a.m. to 4:00 p.m. is for citizens to dispose of legally-obtained, prescription drugs and outdated over-the-counter medications that are no longer useful.

If you are a drug dealer or someone who would like to purchase illegal drugs for recreational use, you'll want to contact the Cedar Rapids Police for a personal interview. And you don't even need to bring a lawyer with you.

Either way, the CRPD wants to help you this Saturday at the main central police station, 505 First St. SW.

Seriously, drug abuse is a major problem in our country. Fortunately, there is help available 24/7.

It's also important to insure the proper disposal of unused and outdated medications.

There are other drop off centers in various area locations. You can click here to find out more.
