There will be a drive-thru Farmers Market this Saturday, June 6th in Cedar Rapids. The market will look different with the fact it's a drive-thru event. This is being done to ensure safety and to comply with public health guidelines.

The market will open this Saturday at 7:30 a.m. and shut down at 12:30 p.m. The plan is to have the first two events in June as a drive-thru and evaluate after that. I'm hoping by July 4th we can be back to normal.

I know the downtown businesses in Cedar Rapids look forward to the market every year. It's a way for them to get some new customers in to check out their establishment. With this week being a drive-thru, I'm guessing the business will be cut in half, if not more.

The next market will be on Saturday, June 20th. Again, that will be a drive-thru event. For more information on the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market, you can visit this link.

Special thanks to the staff the Economic Alliance for all the work they do for the Cedar Rapids Downtown Market. These folks work really hard and it shows. We have one of the best markets in the entire country if you ask me.

I'll be there tomorrow, I hope you will be too.

It's gonna be warm, make sure to turn the air conditioner on high!
