Deftones played Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker’s annual MUSINK Festival over the weekend, and they debuted new material off their forthcoming album Gore.

The California alt-metal outfit gave album track “Doomed User” its live debut at Barker’s tattoo and music expo in Costa Mesa, Calif. It’s a seething, four-minute epic, and you can hear it for yourself in the fan-shot video above.

Gore is out April 8 via Warner Bros. The band has already unveiled lead single “Prayers/Triangles,” a song frontman Chino Moreno told Zane Lowe exhibited the “ebb and flow” that “makes us who we are.” However, during a recent interview with Ultimate Guitar, his bandmate Stephen Carpenter said he’s not “too interested” in Deftones' new songs.

“When we’re coming up with the ideas and writing the songs, the stuff that was being written, you know, the other guys’ ideas, I wasn’t too interested in it,” the guitarist said. “It wasn’t the style or the sound I was hoping we would take. My band is going one direction and I am going another one currently.”

Carpenter also hinted at a rift growing between the bandmates. “I would never leave the band that I started, but the band started leaving me,” he said. “I can’t control that. I mean, I have a great time for the most part.”

“This record has been a struggle, and we have got issues that I do not want to leave home, but how things will be in the future, I do not know,” Carpenter continued. “But I know what I will do, and what I will not do, and there are some things that I will not do in the future because I don’t agree with it.”
