Exactly how many rock n’ roll dreams does Dave Grohl get to live out?  He’s already a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Nirvana.  He’s worked with Zac Brown, Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick), Joe Walsh and David Bowie just to name a few.  Last week, Grohl and the Foo Fighters were the very last musical guest on the final Late Show with David Letterman.  This past weekend, he teamed up with Paul McCartney (again) to perform the Beatles classic, “I Saw Her Standing There”.

Grohl showed up unannounced to McCartney’s concert at the O2 Arena in London over the weekend.  He belted out the 52 year-old with the usual Grohl exuberance, head-banging and smiling his way through the performance.  This is not the first time Grohl has collaborated with McCartney.  In 2012, they recorded the track, “Cut Me Some Slack” for the Sound City soundtrack along with Pat Smear and Krist Novoselic.  The song ended up winning a Grammy for “Best Rock Song”.
