107 years of futility. And not enough bathrooms.

The Chicago Cubs lost their season opener last night, 3-0 v. St. Louis. That wasn't the only thing that made fans uncomfortable. A couple of closures in the upper deck and Wrigley Field renovations made for less access to the restrooms. "Upper deckers" weren't even an option. $12 beers ended up going right back into the cups in some cases.

Here's the official team apology from Cubs Spokesperson Julian Green.

“Two bathrooms in the upper deck went down temporarily forcing fans downstairs where we already were experiencing issues with long wait times. With 35,000 fans showing up in the ballpark tonight, we were simply not prepared to handle guests during peak periods. We have high standards for service and we missed the mark (Sunday night). We want to apologize to our fans for the inconvenience tonight. Moving forward we plan to supplement the existing restrooms with additional portable units and will continue to monitor wait times.”
