Sure, the Iowa weather in April can be unpredictable. Outdoor events can either be bathed in warmth and sunshine or flurries and cold weather. The March of Dimes March for Babies events are huge gatherings held outdoors. But at least one this year is making the move indoors.

The Coralville March for Babies is Saturday, April 7th and will now be held inside the Coralville Marriott. It's the first time the walk has had to be moved indoors. Lows overnight tonight are expected to be in the mid to low teens, and highs will struggle to get into the upper 30's tomorrow making it a little too chilly for the event. Lindsay Gruber, the executive director for the March of Dimes, said they were worried about all the young children in the cold weather. Gruber says instead of the walk, they're encouraging participants to come and hang out for a couple of hours and make the event a huge celebration. There will still be games and activities and of course, hot chocolate!

Hopefully, the weather warms up for the Cedar Rapids March for Babies on Sunday, April 22nd! That walk will be held at the Rockwell Collins Sports Complex in Cedar Rapids. If you'd like to participate you can even you 'Brain and Courtlin's Baby Bunch!' Get entered today and help support The March of Dimes!
