Animal lovers, watch out! This could happen to you (if it hasn't already).

It was just a typical day at work for Florida Police Officer Marcus Montgomery, when he received a call about a disturbance at a local animal shelter. He headed over to Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) to resolve the issue, when he fell in love... with a puppy! In an interview with Buzzfeed, Montgomery said, "One of the supervisors left, and while I was still speaking to the director of PAWS, the supervisor came back in with this little puppy in her hands. You could tell he’d been sleeping because his eyes were heavy and he was yawning constantly.”

He says he immediately asked to hold the puppy. Apparently, the little black and white guy had been dropped off in a box by the back door overnight. “During that time, we were achieving 30 and below weather, so just thinking about him out there all alone, probably so confused, broke my heart. I've heard him whine and cry, and just imagining him in that box by himself, tugged at my heart terribly,” Montgomery said to ABC News.

Same, man. Same.

Officer Montgomery giving his new potential family member some lovin'. Thank you for all you do for our community and for adopting from PAWS!

What happened next is no surprise... Montgomery adopted the little guy, right then and there! He says that Kylo fits well with his existing dog Vader, and is a great addition to the family.
