From a Press release issued by the city last night the Cheyenne Park Off-Leash Area will close on Sunday, September 25 due to rising water. Members of the nonprofit group known in Cedar Rapids for their Splash events, K9Cola volunteers will remove all agility equipment, wagons, trash cans and other items from the park tonight. Whomever visits the park Saturday night will need to dispose of their pet waste on their own. An additional press release will be issued when the parks re-open. Seminole Valley Park and access to the Prairie Park Fishery is closed. Ellis Park can be accessed by Zika Avenue only.

Swim Lessons at Bender Pool will be cancelled on Monday, September 26 and Tuesday, September 27.  Monday Flag Football at Ellis Park will be cancelled as well as the Home School Day program at Ushers Ferry on Thursday, September 29.
