The Cedar Rapids Kernels put on quite a show on Wednesday afternoon! The team defeated Wisconsin by a score of 15-4. Everyone in the lineup had at least one hit as the Kernels improve their record to 25-25.

The big inning came in the bottom of the 8th. My friends all wanted to leave, but I wanted to stay for just one more inning. I'm sure glad I did........the Kernels made it look like batting practice!

The inning got started when Jose Miranda hit a grand-slam. The second homer came courtesy of Jacob Pearson. Not to be outdone, Robby Rinn also had a jack and the crowd at Veteran's Memorial Stadium went absolutely bonkers!

Three batters later, Akil Baddoo hit a two run shot. It The inning finally ended and the fans gave our Cedar Rapids Kernels a standing ovation. It was pretty special, I'm so glad I got to see it!

The Kernels are back in action tonight with the first pitch set for 6:35 p.m.
