A Cedar Rapids holiday tradition returns this weekend. The Fire and Ice Festival starts Saturday morning and concludes with the annual Holiday Delight Parade.

A variety of events for the entire family should be greeted by sunshine and temperatures in the mid to upper-30's. Here's a list of some of the top events with links to more information:

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Deck the District Activities including Horse Drawn Wagon Rides in the Czech Village and NewBo Districts.

2 p.m.: MerryTuba Christmas Concert. It's big brass inside the Cedar Rapids Public Library, downtown. It's the 15th year for this Cedar Rapids tradition.

4 p.m.: Heartland Marimba Concert. Matthew Coley, an internationally-acclaimed artist, will perform solo but you'll be amazed how many instruments it SOUNDS like there are on stage. Held at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art.

3:30-5:30 p.m.: Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Reindeer Meet & Greet. Visit them all in the Children's Programming Room at the main branch of the Cedar Rapids Public Library, downtown.

4, 4:30, 5, and 5:30 p.m.: Interactive musical productions of 'A Christmas Carol,' in Whipple Auditorium at the main branch of the Cedar Rapids Public Library, downtown.

5 p.m.: 5 Trees for the Season Lighting. The fifth and final lighting of Christmas trees in the five core districts in and around downtown concludes at Green Square. The other trees are lit November 30, December 1, and December 2. Complete list of times and locations here.

6 p.m.: 33rd Annual Holiday DeLight Parade makes it way through downtown Cedar Rapids with balloons, lighted parade floats, and more! See parade route in the graphic below.
