Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids and East Central Iowa thank you for support of this year's Bowl For Kids' Sake program throughout January and February.

They have released some statistics and results from this year's program and are very pleased with the success it brought. Around 1,848 bowlers participated, six new companies formed teams to bowl, along with 54 big/little brother/sister pairs, all of whom enjoyed pizza, beverages, entertainment, trivia and new and fun door prizes.

This year's Bowl for Kids' Sake raised $251,779. According to a press release, Kristy Staker, the Director of Community Relations for Hy-Vee, who also helps with the program, said:

Being a part of Bowl For Kids’ Sake allows our employees to bring our smiles beyond the aisles so that we can better serve the children in this community who need a positive role model in their life,”
