If you recall, back in January the Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney had sustained a healthy shoulder injury while vacationing in St. Barths (he was rushed to the hospital with a dislocated shoulder). Carney was wiped out by a massive wave and "slammed" to the ocean floor ... it's happened to us all, right?

The injury forced the garage rock duo to cancel a string of European dates through March 10. Now, as a result of the healing process taking longer than expected, the band has been forced to cancel another run of dates in the Asia Pacific through April 23, mostly in Australia and New Zealand (dates below).

The band -- whose Danger Mouse-produced album, Turn Blue, was released back in May 2014 -- issued a statement regarding the latest cancelations:

The recovery process and physical therapy has taken longer than anticipated and unfortunately Patrick is still unable to perform and needs additional time to heal. We thank all of our fans for their ongoing support and we look forward to getting back on the road as soon as possible.

The Black Keys are still set to rock Mountain Jam this year. You can get tickets here.
