Bird Hit by Foul Ball During Spring Training Baseball Game [Audio/Video]

Detroit Tigers rookie James McCann fouled a ball off during a spring training baseball game against the Atlanta Braves on Friday.

He fouled it back just over the backstop, where a bird was just chillin' while taking in the game.

Unfortunately for the bird, the ball struck it, sending up a cloud of feathers and causing a massive gasp from the crowd.

Bad news. The bird didn't make it.

There was a similar incident years ago where pitcher Randy Johnson hit a bird with a pitch.
