Beer Comes From What!? The Weirdest Thing You Probably Didn’t Know About Beer
Mmm, Beer. Every weekend we drink it, but do we ever think about how it's made? No. This little fact may have you thinking twice next time you go to take a big swig out of that ice cold brew. Jeff Ware, from Buffalo’s Resurgence Brewing Company, shares one of the strangest things you probably don’t know about beer.
Did you catch that? Yes, you heard correctly. Ware says, "little yeast is pretty much pooping out the beer that we love to drink". Yeast is the main ingredient in what creates beer. When yeast eats sugar, the "by-product" or "poop", if you will, is alcohol and C02. There you have it! If it weren't for yeast excrement, we wouldn't have beer. Thanks yeast!
