The next time you hear someone say "there's not much to do in Cedar Rapids" you can call them out with a long list of fun cool events going on all summer long. Here is a look at what's happening in this one week alone:

Tonight you can take in a Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball game at Perfect Game Field. The Kernels are taking on the Peoria Chiefs, the first pitch is at 6:35 p.m.

On Tuesday night you can have a few laughs with "Weird Al" Yankovic at McGrath Amphitheater. The star of 80's MTV parody videos like "Eat It" has never been sillier as he spoofs today's hits in a big-production comedy show featuring costumes and props.

On Wednesday night it's the Doobie Brothers in concert at McGrath Amphitheater. Just remember if the Doobies music compels you to "think doobie" consider this: The Cedar Rapids Police Department is located directly behind the Amphitheater, within "smelling distance" of the concert park.

On Thursday the Marion Uptown Getdown returns with Compass Rose Band at City Square Park. It's free admission, lawn chairs and coolers are welcome. There's food vendors and cold beverages available. The music starts at 6:00 p.m.

On Friday the "Surf and Soul" take control of the stage at McGrath Amphitheater with the Beach Boys and Temptations in concert. These 60's icons deliver all the hits that will have you dancing from the very start.
