With Eddie Lacy the only relatively healthy running back, the Green Bay Packers did something rare today. The traded for a player. Kansas City running back Knile Davis is headed to the NFC and the Packers.

The Packers are desperate for help in the backfield. Lacy is nursing an ankle injury and James Starks is out at least 4 weeks after knee surgery. Davis appears to be the odd man out in KC, with Jamal Charles returning from injury. Davis reportedly requested a trade back in March.

The Packers host the Chicago Bears on Thursday night at Lambeau Field.
