Cedar Rapids Animal Control, and over 200 cats need your help. Recently there has been a huge wave of cats at the shelter and it has become too much to handle. What creates this problem? A lack of spaying and neutering. Often it is very difficult to keep up with the stray population even for rescues like Last Hope who work closely with animal control.

The shelter hopes to help save space and in turn more animals with their adoption event this weekend. Pets normally adopted at $90 can be adopted at $25. You can learn more here.
