A retired postal worker who just started working at Adventureland Theme Park near Des Moines died after less than one week on the job. 68-year-old Steve Booher was working on the Raging River June 7th when he slipped and fell on the conveyor belt. He fractured his skull and suffered a massive brain injury. He died this past weekend at a Des Moines Hospital.

The Occupational and Safety and Health Administration are investigating the incident. A day after the accident, the ride re-opened to the public after inspections deemed it safe to ride.

Steve and his wife Gladys were enjoying retirement, traveling the country in their RV. Services for Booher were held in Oklahoma.
