Thanks to a recent article from The Cedar Rapids Gazette, we now know of a new eatery in Cedar Rapids! Tiffy Jo's Diner & Energy Bar started welcoming customers earlier this month.

Tiffy Jo's Diner & Energy Bar is now open at 2727 6th Street SW in the former home of Bea's Cafe (which recently moved to a new location). The locally-owned restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and a variety of caffeinated beverages.

Photos from Tiffy Jo's social media accounts show items like French toast, specialty pancakes, tenderloins, omelettes, breakfast burritos & quesadillas, specialty biscuits & gravy, sandwiches, and more. There are also all sorts of fancy coffee and energy drinks like flavored iced coffees and Monster Infusions. Early reviews of the restaurant rave about the Berries and Cream Cheese French Toast, Loaded Biscuits & Gravy, Nutella & Banana Pancakes, and Pecan Iced Coffee. Facebook user Diana Sexton-Barkley wrote:

"Tiffy Jo’s was amazing this morning. My daughter and I stopped for breakfast to check out the new restaurant in town. The atmosphere was so cozy, comfortable and warm. The food was absolutely scrumptious. The owner of the place (Tiffany herself) was so kind and personable. Would highly recommend Tiffy Jo’s to everyone who loves that comfortable quiet and cozy place to dine. And the decor was really neat too."

Tiffy Jo's is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can follow the official Facebook page HERE.

And speaking of coffee, The Gazette also reported on a new shop on the way called Cafe Allez. It's moving into the former home of Brewed Awakenings across from Coe College at 1271 1st Avenue SE and is expected to open sometime in early 2024. According to their Facebook page:

"Once open, Café Allez will be a cafe, bakery, and espresso bar inspired by the Tour de France and European travels."
