Two People Dead After Shooting In Northeast Iowa

Two people are dead following a shooting in the northeast Iowa town of Freeport. The Winneshiek County Sheriff's office says the received multiple reports of gunshots at the trailer park off of Dogwood Road. When officers arrived, they found the pair dead. No details on their relationship are being released.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has been called in to help in the investigation. Officials say that the public is NOT in any danger at this point. The public is being asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
