One of my favorite songs from the first decade of the 2Ks is 10 Years' "Waking Up." Released on the breakout CD Autumn Effect. The song that put the Knoxville, TN band on the map that summer a decade ago was "Wasteland." Also a great track, but this one is best IMO.

Singer Jesse Hasek can bring it. His vocals are a hauntingly perfect companion to the rhythm section of 10 Years. That major label debut of Autumn Effect dropped in August 2005 as the band started out on the road with Breaking Benjamin and Smile Empty Soul.

Four records have since been released, but nothing ever came close to that sweet audio ride 10 Years took us on 10 years ago.
